The City of Federal Way offers regular full-time and part-time employees a generous benefits package. Benefits include: 
  • Two mandatory retirement plans - a 401(a) social security replacement plan and the Washington State Retirement System PERS / LEOFF plan
  • Employer-paid medical insurance for employee* with a choice of two different medical plans: Group Health Alliant Plus and Group Health Cooperative 
  • 90% employer-paid medical insurance for employee’s spouse / domestic partner and dependents*
  • Employer-paid dental and vision insurance for employees and employees' spouses / domestic partners and dependents
  • Employer-paid life insurance plus long-term disability insurance
