On behalf of the men and women of the Federal Way Police Department, I welcome you to our website. Our department is a full-service law enforcement agency, comprised of 160 sworn and civilian staff, who proudly serve over 93,000 citizens.
Our department endeavors to meet the highest ethical and professional standards, and prides itself on the quality of law enforcement services provided to the citizens of Federal Way. We are nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) Gold Standard.
The mission of the Federal Way Police Department is for every member to consistently earn the public’s trust while enhancing the quality of life for residents, visitors, and businesses within our City. We accomplish our mission by providing the highest quality law enforcement, community education, and support services possible while making the best use of the resources entrusted to us. We are recognized as professional, innovative, progressive, ethical, and a valued partner in building economic viability in our area.
